Amanda Tapping is a Canadian actress, producer, and director. She is best known for her role as Samantha Carter in the science fiction series "Stargate SG-1," in which she starred for 10 seasons. She has also worked on other television series such as "The Outer Limits" and "Supernatural."
The series "Sanctuary," which she created and produced, first aired in 2008 and lasted until 2011. It was broadcast on Syfy in the United States and in France, and on Space in Canada.
